The terrestrial with cartouche: 'Cary's new terrestrial globe ... London, Made & sold by J.&W. Cary, Strand, March 1st 1816 With corrections and additions to 1818', the hand-coloured engraved gores with graduated meridian through Greenwich, analemma to the Pacific, no Antarctic landmass, Australia as New Holland, the North coasts of Canada and Greenland not delineated, the routes of Captain Cook and others given in the Oceans; the celestial with cartouche: 'Cary's new celestial globe ... 1816, the gores laid to the polar ecliptic, the stars given to nine orders of magnitude, nebulae, clusters and binary stars also shown; each with brass hour ring to North Pole, the globes held in engraved brass meridians, the horizons with engraved and hand-coloured calendrical scales, on mahogany tripod stands with brass rollers
