A Shin-Shinto tachi
Late Edo period (dated 1863), signed Fukui mata Kira Nobuoki saku and dated Bunkyu san mizunoto-i haru Hokuetsu Yasuda ni-cho kitae kore (smithed in Northern Echigo, Spring 1863)
Sugata [configuration]: shinogi-zukuri with deep curvature, mune-hikushi and o-kissaki
Kitae [forging pattern]: mokume
Hamon [tempering pattern]: chu-suguha
Boshi [tip]: o-maru
Nakago [tang]: ubu with katte-sagari file marks, one mekugi-ana, ha-agari kurijiri
Habaki [collar]: single copper
Nagasa [length of blade]: 69.5cm
