The helmet a sixty-two-plate russet-iron suji-kabuto with five-tiered shikoro (neck guard), the wide fukigaeshi with stenciled doeskin, hishinui-no-ita and gilt-metal roundels, mabisashi and fukigaeshi trimmed with gilt fukurin, mounted with a gilt-metal kuwagata-dai decorated with foliate scroll and three large chrysanthemum-form rivets, gilt-metal kuwagata and gilt-wood maedate in the form of a sun disc, the menpo (facemask) of russet iron with moustache, detachable nose and four-tiered yodarekake, with a nimai do (two-piece cuirass) of black-lacquered itazane and dark-blue kebiki odoshi (close lacing) with kusazuri (skirt) of seven tassets each of five rows of itazane, itazane sode (shoulder guards), hyotan-gote (sleeves with gourd-shaped components), shino-haidate (thigh protectors), seven-splint shino-suneate (leg guards)
