Meiji period (late 19th century), signed Dai Nihon Kyoto ju Ikkodo Miyabe Atsuyoshi and with kao (cursive monogram)
Of elongated ovoid form with applied rounded shoulder, short tapered neck, upright rim and with dark-brown patina, decorated in copper, silver, gilt and shakudo takazogan with a sparrow perched on the branches of a willow tree looking up at a diving kingfisher; incised signature on base
