Thailand, Ayutthaya, 15th/16th century
The face with heavy-lidded eyes and inlaid pupils beneath arched brows joining the ridge of the nose, finely incised lips, the ears elongated with pointed tips, the hair in pointed knots surmounted by an ushnisha with a separately cast flaming finial rising from a ring of petals
