A bronze figure of Raktalokeshvara
Kashmir, 8th/9th century
Very finely cast seated in dhyanasana on a lotus base over a stepped square plinth centered by a peacock, holding a lotus and wearing a pleated dhoti, antelope skin and garland, his face surmounted by a tripartite crown centered by an image of Amitabha, backed by an oval mandorla with a stupa at top, an inscription at bottom
