A VERY RARE DINGYAO CARVED BOWL
NORTHERN SONG/JIN DYNASTY, 11TH-12TH CENTURY
The deep rounded sides divided into six lobes beginning above a plain band above the flat base and ending about mid-body, the interior well carved with a graceful, leafy stem bearing one large and two smaller flowers, with a narrow raised band on the exterior below the unglazed rim, covered inside and out with a glaze of ivory tone that continues over the flat base
