A BLUE AND WHITE PETAL-LOBED DISH
CHONGZHEN PERIOD (1628-1644)
With shallow petal-lobed sides, the interior painted with a bird singing as it stands on a pierced rock amidst bamboo, asters and grasses, with an insect in flight above, with apocryphal Chenghua mark on the base; together with two bell-shaped cups, Kangxi period (1662-1722), one with two fan-shaped panels of flowers reserved on a powder-blue ground, the other with an audience scene of an official and two monks on one side, and a banana plant on the reverse, with apocryphal Chenghua mark
