A HUANGHUALI ROUND-CORNER TAPERED KANG CABINET, YUANJIAOKANGGUI
18TH CENTURY
The round-corner top supported on legs of rounded square section, framing the single-panel doors, the upper section of each carved in openwork with small florets amidst a latticework design, above the lower section with two chilong framed within a quatrefoil reserve and confronted around a budding flower, the doors opening from the removable center stile to reveal the interior with three shelves, all above shaped, beaded aprons on the front and sides, and plain, shaped aprons on the back
40 1/8 in. (101.8 cm.) high, 29½ in. (75 cm.) wide, 18¾ in. (47.7 cm.) deep
