The cover engraved on each side with a front-facing dragon leaping amidst scrolling clouds and above crashing waves, framed by a border of key fret, the base with two bands of lotus lappets, all in black, white, green, red and ochre lacquer
6 15/16 in. (17.6 cm.) high, 6 5/8 in. (16.8 cm.) square
