A FINE WHITE JADE PLAQUE
18TH CENTURY
Of quadrilobed section, finely carved on one side with the sun rising behind crashing waves beneath clouds, within a cartouche and outer raised borders of conforming shape, with waves carved in openwork below and clouds above, the reverse carved in similar fashion with four characters reading ru ri zhi sheng (rising like the sun) in the central field
