XIANFENG SIX-CHARACTER MARKS IN IRON RED AND OF THE PERIOD (1851-1861)
The sides finely painted in shaded iron red with numerous gold fish swimming against a ground of white-enameled sgraffiato waves, the flat rim painted in a famille rose palette with lotus and peach scroll reserved on a yellow ground, the interior and base in turquoise enamel

Acquired in Hong Kong in the 1950s, and thence by descent within the family.
