Liu Xiren (1906-1967) and his brother Liu Xiyu were already known as ceramic artists in the Nanchang area by the 1930s. Another famille rose-enameled plaque, signed by Liu Xiren and dated 1933, was sold in our Hong Kong rooms, 1 December 2010, lot 3282.
