Raised on a spreading stem foot cast in low relief with dragons, the bowl encircled by a raised band interrupted by a small curved handle cast as an animal head, the conical cover cast in openwork as vapor-enshrouded hills, with overall encrustation; together with an unusual bronze animal head fitting, Zhou dynasty, possibly a dog, cast with open mouth showing the teeth, prominent eyes and pricked ears, the hollow neck leading into an opening in the back of the mouth, with extensive malachite encrustation
