CIRCA 1755, ORIGINALLY WITH STRETCHER
The rectangular top with raised border and plain frieze on channelled, chamfered square-section legs with fret-pierced brackets, one bracket replaced, the solid gallery an early 19th Century replacement
29½ in. (75 cm.) high; 36 in. (91 cm.) wide; 23½ in. (60 cm.) deep
Provenance
Possibly acquired by James Montgomery (1720-1803), later 1st Bt. of
Stanhope, and by descent at Stobo and Kinross.
