George Farrer Rodwell (1843-1905) was a science master at Marlborough College, Wiltshire, as well as being an authour of sceintific and travel books. His works include A Dictionary of Science (1873), The Birth of Chemistry (1874) South by East: notes of travel in southern Europe (1877) and Etna: A History Of The Mountain And Of Its Eruptions (1878). He is also known to have made contributions to the Dictionary of National Biography
