MARK OF N.X. GOULAIN, PARIS, 1809-1819
The ewer of vase-form, on a circular foot, the lower body chased with waterleaf calyx, the shoulder applied with a band of dolphins, the handle formed as a winged herm, the conforming oval basin with dolphin band and bacchante masks, marked on reverse of ewer and basin (2)
The ewer 14½ in (36.8 cm.) high, the basin 15 in. (38 cm.) long; 84 oz. (2,624 gr.) (2)
