ANDALUSIA, 15TH CENTURY
Of rectangular form with hinged cover, the front and sides veneered in a variety of woods and bone with two panels each containing four interlaced eight-pointed stars containing rosettes within similar borders flanking a central panel with superimposed slightly later lock, the sides with similar veneered octagonal lattice panels within multiple borders and later added iron loop handles, remains of similar inlay on the leading edge of the cover and sides, the interior with small compartment, considerable areas of loss and damage to inlay
