Similar wooden panels in the Musée des Arts décoratifs in Paris have remained in their original pair of doors (Rémi Labrusse (dir.), Purs Décors?, exhibition catalogue, Paris, 2007, p.175, cat.205). Other panels from the same group as those offered here were sold at Sotheby's, 21 October 1993, lot 218 and 27 April 1995, lot 326. More recently another group was also sold in these Rooms, 5 October 2010, lots 213 and 214.
