In their account of their travel through north Kashmir in 1881, the Count and Countess of Ujfalvy describe a similar steel huqqa which they acquired in Skardo and which had been in the possession of the royal family of Baltistan. Another huqqa of this type is in the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (Zebrowski, op.cit., fig.418, p.243).
