Tasting Note: "Really impressive, the '95 Lafite showed a pronounced and forward fruit character of currants and plums overlaid with hints of saddle leather, smoke, and a mineral quality that give the wine great complexity. On the palate the wine shows the level of extract, firm tannic grip, and very good length that one would expect, but the remarkable aspect of this wine is the elegance and sophistication with which everything is held together.
