Richebourg--Vintage 1983
Domaine de la Romanée-Conti
Levels: four 1cm, five 1.5cm, two 3cm, one 4cm; two very lightly corroded capsules, one sign of old seepage, one torn label, bin soiled labels, three very lightly damp stained labels, bottles numbered 251, 254, 2777-2779, 2781, 2783-2788
Tasting Note: "Amazingly fresh and youthful on the nose, with violets and raspberry and just the barest undercurrent of fresh truffle. On the palate warm, toasty aromas of baked cherry pie with a hint of licorice open up, finishing with ground coffee. Texturally, the wine is a bit lean, but well-balanced and long." CC, October 2008.
