An Imperial Russian, ruby, diamond and enamel locket pendant
Of shield design, the hinged locket front depicting the coat-of-arms of St. Petersburg, comprising crossed anchors above the Roman numeral X and central scroll staff with Imperial Russian eagle above, against a red guilloché enamel ground, to a pear-shaped synthetic ruby two stone and old-brilliant-cut diamond crown surmount, the locket opening to reveal two miniature frame compartments, circa 1900, 4.4cm long
