A 19th century 'archaeological revival' gold mounted shell cameo demi-parure
Comprising: a necklace composed of a ropework neckchain suspending five oval shell cameo pendants each depicting a dancing muse, the mounts with wire and bead decoration, with swag divisions each suspending a central pear-shaped drop with matching decoration, 38.0 cm. long, a matching hinged bangle with twin cameos each also depicting a muse, the mount with baluster divisions terminating in finials (one deficient); and a later brooch with oval cameo depicting, Aurora and chariot, circa 1870, fitted case stamped Hunt & Roskell, Late Storr & Mortimer, 156 New Bond Street (3)
