The figure, identifiable as the Daoist immortal Lan Caihe, delicately carved wearing a robe with long flowing sleeves and tied at the waist, raising a flute with both hands towards his lips to play, his face with a gentle expression and hair tied in two topknots, the ivory of a creamy white tone with caramel-toned patina
