FOUR CHINESE SNUFF BOTTLES
18TH AND 19TH CENTURY
Comprising a mother of pearl snuff bottle, carved with twin bats in flight, coral stopper; an agate bottle, carved through the white toned layer through to the brown tone beneath to depict a horse and monkey, with seals jie and gu; a European subject bottle depicting a shepard boy with his goat; and a further snuff bottle painted to the shaped quatre-foil panels with a warrior figure wearing red robes and an attendants, surrounded by scrolling lotus on a yellow ground
The highest, 2¼ in. (5.8 cm.), stoppers, one wood stand (4)
