Ivy pattern, comprising kettle-on-stand, coffee pot, hot milk pot, teapot, sugar bowl, waste bowl, and cream jug; each squat circular, with chased ivy, the domed cover with conforming decoration and bud finial, the kettle, coffee pot and teapot with ivory insulators, each engraved with a crest, each marked under base, also marked 1878/4979, 2243/4980, 1752/36, 2243/5341, 2243/5341, 2243/4980, 2243/5341, respectively

The Ivy Pattern tea and coffee service was designed and introduced in 1869, and is representitive of the high quality and craftsmanship of Tiffany silver at the end of the nineteenth century. See Charles H. Carpenter, Jr. Tiffany Silver, 1997, pp. 62-65.
