A LONDON DELFT BLUE-DASH POLYCHROME ROYAL EQUESTRIAN PORTRAIT CHARGER
CIRCA 1685-1705
Painted in blue, manganese, orange, green, ochre and yellow with a portrait of a King, crowned, wearing coronation robes and holding a sceptre, on a rearing piebald mount, between trees within a border of leaf-ornament between concentric circles, within a yellow line and blue-dash border, the reverse with a buff slip and lead glaze, the footrim pierced (cracked across and repaire in two places, filled hairline crack to rim, minor glaze chipping)
