CIRCA 1685-1700, PROBABLY LONDON
Painted in blue, green, manganese, ochre and orange with a portrait of a King in his coronation robes, crowned and holding a sceptre, astride his rearing mount, between trees on a grassy mound, within a yellow circle and blue-dash border, the reverse with a straw slip and lead glaze, the footrim partially pierced (hold drilled to rim, hairline crack at 4 o'clock, minor chipping to glaze)
