Finely enamelled on the exterior on each face with a scholar on a terrace below a blossoming tree, alternating with a lady in a garden, some of the figures seated, some standing, mostly beside rockwork, the everted rim with iron-red floral panels alternating with turquoise-glaze Y-pattern, and the centre of the interior with an elaborate lotus roundel within a gilt circle
