Château Cheval-Blanc--Vintage 1966
Saint-Emilion, 1er grand cru classé (A)
Levels: three top, one upper and two mid/upper-shoulder
Tasting note: To drink I have always preferred this to the great '47, for though the latter is hugely impressive, the '66 is the epitome of elegance. Many delectable notes. Most recently: glorious fragrance; medium dry, still crisp and youthful. A superb wine. ***** M.B. (Oct 2003)
6 bottles per lot
