Levels: three top, one just below top and two upper-shoulder
Tasting note: The sort of vintage to suit Montrose. In its early days, even in the 1980s intensely deep and packed. Rich, mouthfilling, massive - glorious but very tannic. Most recently: deep, excellent colour; sweet and 'broad'; distinctly sweet on the palate, still tannic. A good '70. *** M.B.(Sept 2005)
