We are proud to offer exceptional lots of rarely seen 19th century Yquem in good condition. All of the wines were stored in a perfect private cellar for decades

Château d'Yquem--Vintage 1865
Sauternes, 1er grand cru classé
Lot 722: reconditionned in 1990. Good appearance. Level base of neck. Lot 723: original cork. Slight signs of seepage. Stained label. Level mid/low-shoulder
Tasting note: Picking comenced 15 September. First noted, a label similar to the 1864, in 1987. Bouquet evolved beautifully in the glass, sweet, soft, delicate, perfect. Most recently,recorked at the château in 1992, showing its age on the nose, caramelised yet somehow correct. ***** M.B. (Sept 1998)
