Tasting note: Superb wine first tasted in cask (Cabernet Franc 60 Merlot 34 Malbec 5 a dash of Cabernet Sauvignon, 1. Charming and winsome. By the mid-1990s oozingly rich sunburnt 'legs'; rich bouquet; well evolved but with slightly bitter tannic iron finish. Most recently: medium-deep, lovely colour; distinctive style, harmonious; touch of earthiness and iron, very distinctive, silky texture, perfection. ***** M.B. (July 2002)
