CIRCA 1550-59, PROBABLY WORKSHOP OF GUIDO DURANTINO
Each painted with landscapes, the first with a bridge across a lake to a city, the second with a recumbent dog between two towers, before a lake and a town on a hill, both with distant mountains, the borders centred by escutcheons bearing the Salviati coat-of-arms against the sky, within blue line and yellow band rims, the reverses each with a double concentric yellow band border and two central yellow bands (first with slight chipping to rim, second with chipping to rim, very slight chipping to footrims)
6 13/16 in. (17.3 cm.) and 6 13/16 in. (17.4 cm.) diam. (2)
