Two Satsuma Koro [Incense Burner]
Meiji Period (late 19th century)
Both decorated in various coloured enamels and gilt, the first with a procession of samurai beneath a band of shippo-hanabishi, signed Kinkozan zo; the second with pierced sides, panels of ho-o and other birds, the covered pierced with chrysanthemums, signed Satsuma yaki Teisai sei
7.5cm. and 8.2cm. high respectively (2)
