Signed Shunryusai, Motoharu koku, Meiji Period (late 19th century)
The decagonally lobed silver dish intricately pierced and engraved with peonies, irises and scroll work, each lobe with an inset ivory panel inlaid in Shibayama style with flowers, the centre with an inset ginji panel similarly inlaid in ivory, mother-of-pearl and coral with a basket of flowers and a ewer, stamped Jungin [pure silver]
