DOMAINE DE CHEVALIER

1987 was considered a disastrous year for red wines in Bordeaux. What few people know, is that wasn't the case for the whites. Often, the same weather that means bad things for reds can be positive for the whites. Of the 1987 Domaine de Chevalier blanc, Michael Broadbent notes, "the dry whites enjoyed better conditions than the sweet wines as the grapes were picked before the storms..." He gives the wine three stars.

Older white Bordeaux is rare, and is offered here in quantity.
