This portray of young Saïd was specially commissioned for Franç ois Ozon's second feature film Les amants criminels (also known as The Criminal Lovers). The plot was described as an overtly sexual approximation to the Hansel and Gretel fairy tale in which Luc and Alice, two troubled teenagers who happen to have a love-hate relationship based on power and submission, decide to commit a murder and assassinate a classmate, Saïd.
Saïd seems to have been captured in movement as he was walking away from the showers, half undressed and already soaked in his own sweaty passion...but then someone caught his attention. He stopped and turned his head around. His glance reveals a certain fury and self-assured confidence yet, at the same time he remains calm, staring directly in a defiant way at the observer as if the boy already knew what he would find in return.
