A SET OF FOUR GEORGE III SILVER ENTREE-DISHES AND COVERS WITH PLATED STANDS FROM THE SUTTON SERVICE
MARK OF PHILIP RUNDELL, LONDON, 1819, RETAILED BY RUNDELL, BRIDGE AND RUNDELL
Each dish shaped circular, with cast shell and foliage scroll border, the shaped circular domed covers each with ribbon-tied foliage and rosette border, cast and chased with foliate scrolls, shell, scalework, diaperwork, and floral garlands on a textured ground, applied twice with a coat-of-arms, with foliate scroll handle, the dishes engraved twice with a crest, each marked on reverse of dish, inside cover and on handle, with conforming plated two handled stands, on four foliate scroll feet
The dishes 10 1/8 in. (26 cm.) diam.
The dishes and covers 265 oz. (8,260 gr.)
The arms are those of Sutton for Sir Richard Sutton, 2nd Bt. (1799-1855). (4)
