A GEORGE III SILVER CRUET FROM THE SUTTON SERVICE
MARK OF PHILIP RUNDELL, LONDON, 1819, RETAILED BY RUNDELL, BRIDGE AND RUNDELL
Shaped oval and on four fruiting grapevine feet, overall chased with foliage scrolls and applied twice with a coat-of-arms, with an overhead leaf-capped handle and supports for the six silver-mounted cut glass bottles, stoppers lacking, marked underneath, on handle and bottles, the base further engraved 'RUNDELL BRIDGE ET RUNDELL AURIFICES REGIS ET PRINCIPIS WALLIAE LONDINI'
14½ in. (37 cm.) wide
weighable silver 65 oz. (2,024 gr.)
The arms are those of Sutton for Sir Richard Sutton, 2nd Bt. (1799-1855).
