JEMDET NASR PERIOD, CIRCA 3300-2900 B.C.
In the form of a recumbent bull, with small budding horns between long curving ears, the drilled eyes inlaid with contrasting stone, the nostrils and mouth incised, the legs folded beneath the stout fore and hind quarters, the hooves articulated, with a long tail; the underside engraved with three quadrupeds in a column, all facing right; perforated for suspension
