A PHYRIGIAN BRONZE BULL PROTOME

Originally a cauldron attachment, the horns curving upward, the small ears projecting horizontally, the poll indicated by a triangle of incised lines, the thickly-lidded large drop-shaped eyes under arching brows, the wide face tapering to a narrow snout with incised nostrils, the muzzle patterned with chevron, the mouth a horizontal line, the triangular attachment plate preserving three bronze rivets, a suspension ring at the back of the head
