THIRD INTERMEDIATE PERIOD TO LATE PERIOD, DYNASTY XXII-XXVI, 945-525 B.C.
Hollow cast, elegantly depicted, seated with the forepaws together, the long tail wrapped around the right side of the body and curled before the paws, the curving back with prominent shoulder blades protruding behind the tapering neck, radiating whiskers finely engraved above the closed mouth, the long erect ears incised with horizontal striations, a gold earring preserved in the right ear, perhaps original
