In the form of a fish, on a flat base, tapering sharply at each end, with a v-shaped upturned tail, the mouth ajar, pellet eyes framed by undulating grooves, molded arches above for gills, v-shaped fins behind in relief, leg-like ventral fins on the underside, the upper surface bisected by ridged dorsal fins arching toward the head and tail, centered by the vessel mouth, with a short neck and flat disk rim, a ring handle to one side, a high spout on the left side of the head, with a wide funnel mouth, the spouts wheel made, the surface with a brown wash, detailed in black for the stripes and rows of dots, the eyes, vessel mouth, rim and handle

According to Padgett, p. 12 in Walker, ed., op. cit., the angle of the spout beside the fill hole, and the placement of the handle, suggests that it was likely a feeding vessel for a young child.
