The bearded hero standing in contrapposto on the original two-tiered socle formed of a circular plinth with ovolo on the moldings on a footed square base, his weight on his left leg, the right bent at the knee and pulled back, his knobby club held in his right hand, the Nemean lionskin draped over his bent left arm, surmounted by the infant Telephos, the burly hero with his head turned to his left, depicted with thick curly hair and a full beard and a mustache, crowned with a foliate wreath
