A PAIR OF GEORGE III PARCEL GILT POLYCHROME-PAINTED BEECH ARMCHAIRS
CIRCA 1800
Each back with overscrolled toprail, reeded and ball-filled splats and centred by and oval painted with a putto amongst clouds, the spirally fluted uprights and arm supports above a caned seat with floral chinzt squab cushion, on spirally-fluted sabre legs terminating in claw-and-ball feet, one incised 544 and with fragmentary paper label, decoration refreshed
