Lot Essay

Edouard Bisson, French, (1856-1939) student of Gérome, is best known for his works from around 1900 that reflect the beauty of the women from La Belle Epoque. He won many awards, including a bronze medal at the Paris Exposition Universelle in 1900, and in 1908 he was made Chevalier de la Légion d'Honneur.
