The following four lots are from the noted collection of European ceramics formed over the course of more than forty years by Edward and Kathleen (Kiyi) Pflueger. Inspired by the porcelain collection formed by Otto and Magdalena Blohm of Hamburg, the Pfluegers together assembled what is internationally acknowledged to be one of the most important collections of European ceramics of the second half of the 20th century, displayed in their Park Avenue apartment and upstate New York farm amongst fine paintings, sculpture, furniture and other decorative arts of the same periods.

The larger bird perched on a tree-stump nibbling cherries, a much smaller bird at its base, on puce faux-marble stepped oval base
