According to the vendor he obtained the signatures during a flight from Alabama to San Francisco on 2nd April, 1972, when as a nine year old boy, he approached the Jackson Five who were seated in First Class. Despite feeling very overwhelmed, he recalls that the brothers were very welcoming, in particular Jermaine, who let the Stewardesses know that they weren't being bothered.
