According to the vendor he obtained the signatures during a flight from Alabama to San Francisco on 2nd April, 1972, when as a nine year old boy, he approached the Jackson Five who were seated in First Class. Despite feeling very overwhelmed, he recalls that the brothers were very welcoming, in particular Jermaine, who let the Stewardesses know that they weren't being bothered. Before leaving the Jacksons gave him this memento, also signed by Randy who at that time was not in the band, and therefore is not in the photograph.
